INFLOR's Forest Fire Tower Monitoring

Project description

Led a team of two software engineers to develop a website product to monitor forest fires in a wide range of farms, where there are several monitoring towers spread to provide a view of the whole area. When a fire or smoke is spotted by a tower guard, he informs the degree direction of it to the central office. After receiving at least two towers’ degree directions, the central office can use the product to calculate by triangulation the exact location of the fire on a map, enabling the firefighters who are called to handle the situation to know exactly where the fire is.
